What to Expect:At Duck 'n Dive we pride ourselves in offering you an experience of a life time. We go the extra mile to offer you comfort and unforgettable memories leaving you with a HUGE passion for the sea. During your lectures tea, coffee and biscuits will be served. At the sea dives we erect a gazebo to offer you protection from the wind and sun, we provide chairs for your comfort and wherever possible we also try to provide you with a selection of hot and cold drinks. Please remember to bring along some lunch for yourself.
Learn to Scuba
Dive: Once you complete the scuba diver course you will become a member of NAUI which will enable you to dive and hire gear from any resort around the world. The part time course is run over 3 to 4 evenings between 18h00 and 21h00, Saturday morning exam, Saturday afternoon pool session, 1st Sunday is one skin session and two sea dives, following Sunday is remaining two sea dives. The full time course is run over 5 to 6 days from 9h00 to 17h00pm and will include all of the above over this duration.
Advance your diving skills: After completing your scuba diver course you will soon learn that the ocean is abundant with so much more to explore. With just a few more theory classes we will then take you on the following dives which will advance your diving skills eventually taking you to 40m. Course includes two fresh water dives, one night dive, one navigation dive, one boat dive exceeding 20m and one boat dive to a maximum of 40m.
Why go Rescue? This course trains divers in the knowledge and skills needed to manage risks and effectively handle limited in-water problems and diving emergencies. Included are: assists, transports, surface rescues and rescues from depth involving both boat and shore based skin and scuba divers. This course meets the prerequisite rescue training for the NAUI training assist and specialty course, leadership courses and instructor courses.
Master Diver: Some subject areas are a review and expansion of material from previous courses. Each subject area is a progression in study not a definitive study in the particular diving activity. Course subjects include: applied sciences, diving equipment, diving risks, diving environment, underwater navigation, limited visibility diving, search and recovery, light salvage and deep and simulated decompression diving.
LEADERSHIP COURSES: The various NAUI Leadership levels are Assistant Instructor, Dive master and skin diving instructor. The NAUI Dive master rating is the highest NAUI leadership-level certification with the exception of Instructor. The program is designed to train experienced and knowledgeable divers to organize and conduct enjoyable open water dives for certified divers. |
